A Dominant Contender from Chad Brown’s Stable

Chad Brown, the esteemed trainer from Mechanicville, entered three exceptional runners in the race. Eager to secure the Saratoga training championship, which he had won five times before, Brown’s presence added anticipation to the competition. Technical Analysis, one of his top contenders, proved to be a hometown favorite, thriving in the Saratoga atmosphere.

Thriving in the Saratoga Environment

According to the trainer, Technical Analysis flourished in the Saratoga environment, bringing her best performance to the track. “Each year, she thrives in this setting and revels in the experience. Despite being a bit of a nervous horse, this environment brings out the best in her, especially mentally challenged horses. The vast expanse, abundant greenery, and cool evening air create a calming ambiance, allowing her to conserve energy for her performances,” he explained.

A Commanding Victory

Technical Analysis, a bay mare sired by the renowned British stallion Klingman and out of the impressive Irish mare Sealife, made her move right from the start. Commanding the race from the No. 5 stall in the starting gate, she swiftly gained a two-length lead within the first quarter-mile on the inner turf course. Expertly guided by jockey Jose Ortiz, Technical Analysis faced a momentary challenge from Regal Realm but maintained her composure and surged ahead to claim her seventh victory in 14 starts. The one-mile run was completed in an impressive 1 minute and 33.98 seconds.

The triumphant win in the De La Rose Stakes rewarded Klaravich Stables with $74,250 in prize money. Technical Analysis showcased her exceptional talent and form throughout the race, leaving her competitors trailing behind. White Frost secured the second position, trailing by 3½ lengths, while Regal Realm finished third, one length behind. Brown’s horses Haughty and Eminent performed well, securing the fourth and fifth places, respectively.
